I hated playing this piece with the dislike of a 100,000 Laplace transforms. I’d rather do the timing chains on a M62 or an audi S8 than play it. Let the high school flashbacks commence.

Gah, Sleigh Ride. Plays about once a day on the work radio here. Can’t stand it.

I’ve just started replacing the words of Christmas music with more fun words. For example, Jingle Bells is now about a guy who wants to “ride and sing a slaying song tonight” and it’s also called Jingle Hell. So maybe he’s on a festive killing spree or something.

Sleigh Ride is the only christmas song I hate everything is cool or a little too campy. Take the lyrics of Feliz Navidad and replace them with “police have my dad. Police have my dad. Postpone bail with no visits.”

I don’t like Christmas music. because there’s never much new music and they play the same stuff for 2 months a year.

If I can pass the final math requirements (i’ve been done with math over a year now) so can you. I’m not even bright too sometimes I think the high lead levels on our school campus have degraded me to Scoob level intelligence.

I never do it because I suck at it. The second trumpet always plays it. It’s good to be king.

Don’t worry I can’t growl on the saxophone nor care for it.

Our band program was surprisingly stout in high school, and we performed Sleigh Ride every year, from ‘92-’95. The way we didn’t burn out on it was we never rehearsed it. Director would give us the parts the night before, but we wouldn’t ever run it. Just play it at the concert.
We aren’t quite as daring in the El Paso Wind Symphony; we at least run it on the dress rehearsal night before. *smirk* I think the conductor knows no one’s into it. At least he only programs it on odd years.

We’ve gotten to the point where we don’t rehearse it, and the conductor starts it and walks off the stage.
